Childhood & Teenage Anxiety – Part 2
8th October 2018The impacts of stress in the workplace..
4th March 2019Anxiety Management Techniques is the focus of this post.
One things I am a bit guilty of is in neglecting this website…I seem to create and share content more on social media, Facebook being where I share videos, so I’m trying to get a little better at sharing the same video content I create at least to the website as well.
I asked the Facebook audience what they wanted some content around via a poll, and the winner of that poll was for more content on anxiety management techniques. So I’ve decided to create a three part video to use as a self a help tool. This first video focusses on the physical aspects of anxiety and creating ‘soothe’ when your system is in a ‘threat’ mode. There’s a variety of factors at play when we talk about anxiety, but one thing that is important to realise is that the anxiety will come back down. It can’t last forever, even though it does feel horrendous when you are in it. This video highlights a few ways to tackle that overwhelming feeling of dread and fear.
Remember your body is in fight, flight or freeze mode, its reacting to danger that isn’t actually there. If you are not in danger, then your anxiety is overreacting, and the trick is, to kick the soothe systems into place to ease the anxiety quicker. You are not being chased my Lion…..
